These folks have amazing breakfasts but the dinners are terrible. I would give them 4 stars on just the breakfast but would only give one star for the dinners. The service is okay at dinner time but seems to be much better during breakfast time. The atmosphere is nice and I never miss having breakfast here at least twice during the week I'm there.

Great food with friendly wait staff. It takes a little longer than other restaurants to get food but other than that I recommend this for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

Terrible service unless you're a regular. None of the waitstaff smiled and our waitress disappeared once the food was delivered. Speaking of the food, another negative. My eggs were cold and the pancakes were bland. The outside of the building is disgusting, covered in bird poop and not very inviting. I think I've just had my final experience at West 40.

A great simple diner... (well not so simple)... Great food, great service The food is homemade. Real mashed potatoes! Home made gravy I love liver and onions... Well done, with crispy bacon What can I say.. great food!

I've quit going here due to their incredibly poor service. I kept going back, hoping it would get better, but it didn't. The last time I was there, my coleslaw was warm, my fries were cold, and the Philly type sandwich left much to be desired- the server never returned to our table so I wasn't able to voice my concerns. I think they stay in business because there are so few places to go out to eat in this town. The prices are pretty high for this area also.

I was visiting from California and came here with friends and had a great meal. Good service even though it was a busy Friday eve we had good steaks all done the way we wanted and fast service. Well done at a reasonable price!

Fabulous steaks! I got the NY Strip which I highly recommend! You also get a side salad and potato choices. Their liquor choices were limited but inexpensive. There were only four wines to choose from and beer selection was limited as well. Their sandwich menu didn't look very exciting either. The place has high ceilings so it's nice and open. The decor is kind of cute too. It's very casual so it's the perfect place to come after walking around a park. We discovered this place since it was recommended to us by someone who grew up in the area.

Amazing breakfast! We always try to stop at West Forty when we're up north because the food is so delicious! The waitresses are waiters are always really nice and welcoming.
